Throughout my years at Al Jabr Islamic School, I have been fortunate to have access to a wide range of resources, opportunities, and support that have shaped my learning journey. However, I came to realise that having access to these resources is only one part of the journey. What truly makes a difference is my own initiative, courage, and willingness to make the most of what has been provided to us by the school.

The school's curriculum, Career-related Programme (CP), has taught me to become a lifelong learner. Not simply someone who learns for the sake of completing an assignment, but someone who continues to grow, reflect, and seek knowledge wherever I go. It has helped me develop skills and values that I believe will prepare me not only for university, but also for the real world beyond it.

Al Jabr has also taught me that growth does not come only from our achievements, but from the challenges and fears we face along the way. I have learned to bounce back from setbacks, reflect on my experiences, and take the lessons with me so that I can become a better version of myself. Most importantly, my time at Al Jabr has reminded me to always return to Allah and put my trust in Him, because no matter how much we learn or achieve, our journey is ultimately guided by God.

As I step into this new chapter of my life and continue my journey of learning, I hope to carry the values Al Jabr has instilled in me wherever I go. I will always be grateful for the lessons, experiences, and people who have helped shape who I am today, and I hope to continue growing as a learner, an individual, and a person of faith.

Being in Al Jabr has taught me what it means to be a lifelong learner and has provided me with such valuable experiences. Going through the IBCP programme was a challenge worth fighting for. I have learnt the importance of setting career goals, understanding ethical issues and perspectives, building connections and empathy to others, developing your own personal and professional skills, and the importance of agency.

Continuing on to higher educational learning has definitely been a challenge, however I wouldn’t have been able to make it if it weren’t for all the skills and lessons Al Jabr has given me. It has helped me navigate various obstacles and difficulties in my academic, personal, and professional life. Al Jabr has helped me instill a newfound courage to explore the world around me. This was also an endeavor made even more meaningful thanks to the incredible community I was part of. The support from all the students, staff, teachers, peers, and even parents has enriched my time here in Al Jabr. Despite the downs encountered along the way, there were countless memorable and fun moments that made the journey truly special. Whether it was participating in engaging projects, collaborating with classmates, or sharing laughter during challenging times, these experiences definitely have left a lasting impression on me. I aspire to carry forward the knowledge, skills, and values given to me at Al Jabr and as I continue my journey, I hope to continue to grow as a learner and as a person.

Years of learning at Al Jabr Islamic School equipped me with the expected high-level preparations expected in the University Faculty of Law at the University of Gadjah Mada. From IBCP curriculum followed at Al Jabr, critical thinking skills, communication, and research skills that I gained were quite beneficial in my law coursework. Speaking of the factors that led me to decision in choice of the specialization, I can state that the atmosphere at Al Jabr contributed a lot to my personal development, and helped me embrace other points of view, as well as dive deep into the case analyses that I faced in the course of my further studies. I am privileged that I attended Al Jabr as it prepared me not only with knowledge, but with character and clear vision of following the right way and being ethically sound.
