Learn MorePRIMARY YEARS PROGRAM (PYP)
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) provides a framework for conceptual understanding through inquiry-based and transdisciplinary learning. It is a student-centered educational strategy for children aged 3 to 12 responding to the challenges and opportunities facing young students in our rapidly changing world to be caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.
Students in the PYP are agents of their own learning and active participants in the learning process. It puts people and their relationships first in order to create a strong learning community.
Through investigation and reflection on their own learning, PYP students have voice, employ choices, and use their initiative to take responsibility and ownership of their learning. They gain knowledge, conceptual understandings, skills, and the IB Learner profile traits in order to make a difference in their own lives, communities, and beyond.
